Kundalini Empowering Human Evolution – Gopi Krishna, Gene Kieffer
Kundalini Empowering Human Evolution – Selected Writings of Gopi Krishna, edited by Gene Kieffer, brings together the most important reflections and observations of one of the best-known modern writers on Kundalini. For centuries, the secrets of Kundalini yoga were carefully guarded by the yogis of India.
In this book Kundalini, Gopi Krishna explains Kundalini not as an obscure yogic technique, but as what he saw as an evolutionary energy present in every human being: a force that, in his view, can lead to higher states of consciousness, creativity and genius. Together these writings form a guide to understanding the mystery of Kundalini and the awakening of this inner source of light.
Gopi Krishna (1903–1984) was born in Kashmir. In 1937, after many years of daily meditation, he experienced a sudden and overwhelming awakening of Kundalini, which he described in his autobiography Kundalini: The Evolutionary Energy in Man. He spent the rest of his life researching and writing about this experience, and called for scientific investigation of Kundalini. Gene Kieffer, his long-time friend and publisher, founded the Kundalini Research Foundation to continue this work.
An inspiring book for anyone interested in Kundalini, yoga, meditation, Indian spirituality and the evolution of consciousness.
