“Navigating by the Stars is a unique book. It discusses a number of techniques that many astrologers regard as advanced and not part of the mainstream of astrological practice, Uranian Astrology, the 90” dial, transit graphs, Astro-Mapping and Cycles, among others. Ms. Hathaway takes these techniques and shows how to use them in actual counseling practice. She shows that these techniques are not merely for use by the advanced technician. These methods provide information useful to the client, useful to the astrologer and not available to them through other methods.
“In so doing the author has presented us with a book that is genuinely different, and not merely a rehash as are so many new books today. And it is a book which makes the material accessible to any practitioner. While the author presents the material in the context of her way of doing astrology, she does so in a way that makes it pos-sible for virtually anyone to take a particular method and apply it to his or her own practice.
“However, the book is not merely technical. This is one of its chief strengths. It deals with philosophical and counseling issues as well, showing not only the brain of an astrological approach but its heart as well.
“All of the above serve to make this a book that astrologers should acquire both to expand their technical repertoire and to change their way of looking at astrology. There is no other book quite like it.”
